The Quad Communities Center for Working Families' parent organization, The Cara Program, was extremely honored to receive a 2009 Neighborhood Builder Award from Bank of America's Neighborhood Excellence Initiative in November 2009.  The Cara Program was selected as a recipient of this prestigious award in recognition of our commitment to community development, post-employment support, and career advancement.  The Cara Program is thrilled to be one of two Chicago-based organizations in 2009 to receive this recognition and is grateful to Bank of America for its support of our mission and Cara's motivated students*.

* The Cara Program uses terms like 'students' and 'graduates' to underscore that their participants are not ‘clients’ to be served or ‘cases’ to be managed, but individuals who are in a learning environment and actively seeking to develop their skills.
